Panther slugger Bo Fornataro connected on two homeruns Monday afternoon as Riverside easily dismissed Quaker Valley 11-0 to stay unbeaten on its season. Fornataro blasted a three run homer as part of a Panthers seven run second inning outburst and swatted his second homerun just one inning later when Riverside added four more runs. After a scoreless first inning, the unbeaten Panthers erupted with seven runs aided by the Fornataro bomb and a three-run double by Ashton Schlosser. Big innings by each of the local softball teams helped secure home victories on Wednesday. Ellwood City used a 7-run second inning en route to a 13-0 mercy rule victory over Beaver Falls while Riverside used an 8-run fourth inning to bounce New Brighton 13-0.
