Ellwood City Tennis Conducting Mini Clinic In June

Ellwood City Tennis will be conducting a tennis clinic for any boy or girl interested in learning the basics of tennis. The tennis clinic will be held on June 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2025 at the Ewing Park Courts from 10am to 11:15am. Any child ages 5-12 is eligible to sign up and participate. Each participant will receive a t-shirt. The clinic will promote tennis skills from the basic to moderate level. “The participants will learn skills pertaining to tennis. The WPIAL District 7 Champion Riverside Panthers cruised to a 9-0 opening round victory over Huntingdon in the PIAA 3A playoffs Monday afternoon on its home turf. Senior Christian Lucarelli tossed a 3-hit complete game for the Panthers. Lucarelli struck out seven batters and allowed only two walks. The Riverside offense exploded for five runs in the third inning to quickly put the game at bay. FREE Co-Ed Basketball Camp To Be Offered At Ewing Park Courts In July

A free, five-day co-ed basketball camp is scheduled to begin at the Ewing Park Basketball Courts from Monday, July 28th thru Friday, August 1st. Camp director Bob Rak will lead the camp with assistant coaches Al Campman, Herm Petti, Dr. Brad Brown and Joe Fisher The camp that will run from 10 a.m. till noon during the week. In a monumental pitching dual, the Riverside Panthers outlasted South Park in extra innings Friday evening to advance to the WPIAL Class 3A Championship Game for a third consecutive year.
