Elderly Ellwood City Woman Beaten and Robbed, Man Offers Reward to Help Catch Suspect

An Ellwood City man is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in his elderly aunt’s beating earlier this year in Lawrence County. Paul Boots found his great aunt, Delida Vicarri, 84,  one early morning last February in terrible shape on the back porch of her Ellwood City home. Vicarri was assaulted and robbed. Initially though, police investigating the case and Vicarri’s family thought that she had taken a bad fall. Her injuries were serious. Boots told media his aunt suffered a broken jaw, broken eye socket, she was kicked in her ribs and her legs were bruised….

Traffic Stop Leads to One Arrest and One Citation

Taylor Foley, 21, was placed under arrest by Ellwood City Police for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and Kory Coles, 29, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct after a traffic stop led to a car search and field sobriety test. On May 11, Officers patrolling College St. attempted to make a right hand turn onto Ellwood Ave. and found a car parked at an angle preventing the movement of the cruiser. Ellwood City Narcotics Complaint Leads to One Arrested and One at Large

James Hammond Jr., 23, 413 8th St. was charged with manufacturing, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at the intersection of College St. and Wampum Ave. According to a police report, Hammond was pulled over on a bench warrant by Ellwood City Police. Suspected Drug Operation Leads to Ellport Mans Arrest

ELLPORT- Christopher M. Rusnock, 33, of 113 Duncan Ave., is charged with three counts of manufacturing, delivery or possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of children, after wife files a protection abuse order against him. VIDEO: Police Looking For Suspects Throwing Beer Bottles At Cars

According to a publish report, state authorities say, in a reckless and dangerous spree, someone is throwing beer bottles into car windshields along Route 288 Wampum Road. According to a KDKA video report, it has happened three times in less than a week on the dark and winding stretch of Route 288. All three victims are teenagers and parents aren’t too thrilled. VIDEO: Overnight Car Crash In North Sewickley Twp, 1 Injured

A motorist was taken to the hospital after crashing into a Beaver County home early Wednesday morning. Police: New Castle Man Charged with Viewing Child Pornography

According to the criminal complaint filed on March 6, Steven Robert Nerone, 35, of 1704 E Washington St, New Castle, was charged with dissemination of child pornography. In February 2017, state police investigated a report from Microsoft that a Skype user had uploaded a known picture of child pornography. State police requested a subpoena to be issued to Comcast for an IP address identification. The Comcast report identified the IP user as Nerone. According to information made available by the Ellwood City Police Department on Thursday, residents in the Ellwood City area have been receiving calls from an individuals with foreign accent, claiming they’re MICROSOFT Security and the resident(s) computer is malfunctioning. The caller goes on to make reference to Windows, Excel and other Microsoft products. The call back number provided is (877) 930-8384. Man Tased While Attempting to Flee Police According to the criminal complaint, on Feb. 10 at approximately 3:00 a.m., an officer observed a jeep traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of Crescent Avenue and Seventh Street. The investigating officer activated the patrol car’s emergency signals, but the jeep didn’t pull over. Police pursued the jeep to the 300 block of Wayne Avenue where the suspect parked. According to information made available this morning by the Borough of Ellwood City, Mayor Court wanted to once again warn residents that another scam is circulating through the Ellwood City area, targeting the elderly for money claiming that a relative is in trouble with the law. If you get a phone call like this or if you have elderly people living in the area, please warn them of this scam and advise them to call the Police. NEVER give out their financial information to anyone unless they are certain of the caller. Be safe and protect our elderly from these scammers!
