POLICE REPORTS: Criminal Complaints & Reports

Harrasment:
A 24-year-old female was a reported victim of physical harassment according to a PA State Police report. On Sunday, September 6th at approximately 1:00 a.m., police responded to Panella Way, in Wayne Township to find the victim who related the actor pushed/shoved and held her down. The victim related that she believed the actor was still at her residence and that she had removed herself from the scene. Upon canvassing the area the actor was determined to not be present. According to the report charges are pending.

Motor Vehicle Theft:
A theft of a motor vehicle was reported some time between Saturday, September 5 at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 6 at 7:00 a.m. in New Beaver Borough. According to a report, New Castle State Police responded to the scene and made contact with the victim who claimed that his White 1997 Freight Liner Semi-Truck had been stolen from his “Industrial, Timer and Pulp” business parking lot and was believed to be driven North on State Route 18 in New Beaver Borough, Lawrence County. The victim claimed that there was no license plate on the truck and the rear of the truck has a hydraulic line system installed. The victim also claimed that his business logo “ITP” can be seen in red lettering on the side of the vehicle. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of the vehicle, please contact the New Castle State Police.

Domestic Disturbance:
Police were dispatched to a report of domestic disturbance involving a father and his daughter on Sunday, August 30 at approximately 8:07 p.m. near Church Street in Enon Valley Borough, Lawrence County. According to the criminal complaint, and those interviewed on site, the two subjects engaged in a verbal argument and soon thereafter those interviewed heard what was believed to be one gun shot, and more than two more a short time later. When police arrived on scene the father, Robert Matthews, 41, of Enon Valley, was placed under investigation where he later advised he had fired two rounds into the ground due to an argument with his daughter. According to the report, Matthews appeared highly intoxicated, and the victim had related the two had attended a golf outing earlier in the day. The victim related the incident occurred as the argument ensued because the victim was not ready to go to sleep. Matthews was placed under arrest and charged with harassment and recklessly endangering another person.

Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Seizure:
According to a criminal complaint, a traffic stop in the early hours of August 21st led to seizure of drugs and subsequent arrests of two suspects. At approximately 1:14 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Ellwood City McDonalds of a black Infiniti vehicle driven by Amanda Hasan, 29, of Ellwood City, along with passenger, Michael Roth, 32, of Pittsburgh. Both suspects had warrants and a subsequent search of the vehicle found an estimated 2.6 grams of heroin. As a result of the search, police located a clear glass suspected crack pipe along with a syringes and several units of Narcan. Both actors are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance.

Reckless Driving & Endangerment:
According to a criminal complaint, Christopher Carpenter, 34, of Rochester, is charged with a series of driving charges after a incident on August 23rd in New Galilee. According to the report, Carpenter was driving erratically and chasing his ex-girlfriend in her vehicle along Britton School, New Galilee, and Ken Forest roads. The victim advised police that she has an active PFA on Carpenter out of Lawrence County. Carpenter is charged with recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, harassment, and reckless driving.
