Riverside & Ellwood Students Lead Mock Trial Boot Camp

On Wednesday, December 7th, Wilmington Area School District hosted a Mock Trial Boot Camp led by students from Riverside Beaver County and Lincoln High School. Over 30 high school students from the three schools participated in the training. Following a brief introduction that outlined the difference between civil and criminal cases as well as proper court protocol, participants rotated among five stations to learn elements of Mock Trial. The elements included Opening Statement, Direct Examination, Cross Examination, Closing Argument, Objections and Improper Questioning. Ellwood City Winter Sports Tickets To Be Sold Online

Ellwood City Area School District will be slowly making the change to digital ticketing for all sports. The first round of ticketing for the Ellwood City Wolverines to be sold on-line will be for the 2022-23 Winter Sport Season. Tickets will be sold on-line at www.gofan.co or the Go Fan app. There will be no tickets sold at the school at this time. Local Girls Hosting ‘Hugs for Pap’ Holiday Blanket Drive for Club Hope

Two Ellwood City girls know two things for sure this holiday season … they miss their “pap” and want to help those with cancer. Maura (9), and Ella (5) Fauzey are teaming up with Club Hope Foundation for a “Hugs for Pap” Blanket drive in honor of their Grandfather, Tony Celli, who died in April of pancreatic cancer. Riverside High School Student Council will present its annual Senior Citizens Christmas Program & Dinner next week. After feeling an amazing amount of love and support during her Lymphoma diagnosis in March, Betty Phillippi wanted to give back.
