Lawrence County Broadband Initiative Announces Events

NEW CASTLE – Today, the Lawrence County Commissioners announced two public events as a part of their Link Up Lawrence initiative, a project that kicked off last month and is assessing the quality and availability of broadband internet in the County. The Commissioners are hosting an open house on May 11 and a virtual workshop on May 18 to share information about the project and gain insight into internet experiences residents, businesses, and organizations. Knights Of Columbus Provided Donation To Divine Grace

The Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 11389 provided a $500 donation to the Divine Grace Ministerium Social Services this week Pictured below and receiving the check are Jan Baur and Cathy DeBlaso, co-directors of Social Services. Borough Council to Hold Public Hearing Regarding Dunkin’

Ellwood City Borough Council announced during the April 17 regular meeting that they will hold a public hearing to consider a conditional use request from Dunkin’ on May 15 at 5:45 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Borough Building’s Council Chambers on the second floor. Borough Manager Kevin Swogger said the borough will be applying for a Lawrence County Liquid Fuels Grant to help offset the costs of the 2021 Road Improvement Project.
