Ellwood City Wolves Club Awards $18,035 in Scholarships This Year To Local Students

On Wednesday, May 31st, the Ellwood City Wolves Den II hosted a dinner to honor the recipients of the Wolves Club Scholarships for 2023. Ten Wolves Club Scholarships, with a value of $18,035, were awarded this year including three new ones. Wolves Club president, Mike DeOtto commented, “Higher education puts students on the path to many different careers. Ellwood City Tennis To Host Mini Clinic

Ellwood City Tennis will be conducting a tennis clinic for any boy or girl interested in learning the basics of tennis. The tennis clinic will be held on June 26th, 27th, and 28th, 2023 at the Ewing Park Courts from 10:00 a.m to 11:15 a.m. Any child ages 5-12 is eligible to sign up and participate. Columbia Gas Replacing Natural Gas Pipelines, Forcing Lane Restrictions On Lawrence Avenue

Summer is here and that means road construction projects! According to a spokeswoman for Columbia Gas, the gas company is currently working on a project which began earlier this year to replace natural gas pipelines in the Lawrence Avenue area. “This is part of our commitment to modernize our distribution system to continue to provide safe and reliable natural gas services to our customers in the Ellwood City area,” says Lee Gierczynski, Communications Manager for Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania. Opening Of Borough Of Ellwood City Pool Delayed

According to information made available by the Borough of Ellwood City, and as of 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 2nd, the borough has been notified by the Beaver County YMCA that the pool will not be open for the weekend. The pool is scheduled to be open on Monday, June 5th from noon until 7:00 p.m. The borough apologizes for any inconvenience. Two Local Students Receive Scholarships At Municipal Woman’s Club May Banquet

Two local students received scholarships as part of the Municipal Woman’s Club banquet that took place May 22nd at Joey’s Event Room on Lawrence Avenue Gianna Fotia, of Lincoln High School, and Abigail Hughes, of Riverside Beaver County, were the recipients of the scholarships.
