Ellwood City Lincoln High School enjoyed its graduation ceremony Thursday evening at Leslie Sabo Memorial Auditorium. A total of 120 students received diplomas at the commencement. Eight students graduated with high honors, including Michael J. Ace, Neisa M. Carsele, Katelyn V. Cole, Zoe M. Kalantzis, Dia A Neupauer, Kyle D. Smith, Dominick J. Spadafore, and Jaylin R. Tuttle. BC3 Offers NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Courses This Summer

Riverside High School has 102 seniors graduating in the class of 2018. There are five students who have received high honors. The top five students are listed in alphabetical order below: Jenna R. Hart, daughter of Randy and Diane Hart, played on Riverside’s varsity soccer and track teams throughout high school and was captain of the soccer team. Bernstine Certified Winner of Both Republican and Democratic Nominations for November 6 election

NEW BEAVER, PA. – State Rep. Aaron Bernstine was certified today as the winner of both Republican and Democratic nominations to represent State House District 10 in Harrisburg. The district includes portions of Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence counties. Bernstine, elected as a Republican in 2016, was nominated for a second term by his party during the May 15th primary, earning 97% of the vote. Ellwood City Tax Office Hours for June and July

The office of the Tax Collector, Mary Ann Portugallo is located in the Ellwood City Municipal Building on 525 Lawrence Ave. Information regarding residential, property, real estate, or other tax information can be collected at the tax office. Duplicate bills, 3-year tax search and other certifications can also be collected at the tax office. The Ellwood City Tax Office, will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays only during the month of June. “Normal hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will resume in July on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays,” Portugallo said.

PHOTOS: Annual Memorial Day Parade

Ninety-degree heat welcomed the hundreds of onlookers spread across town Monday morning during the annual Ellwood City Memorial Day Parade.  Youth organizations, marching bands, city and state officials, fire trucks, police cruisers, and other community members participated and marched in the parade honoring the men and women that died in military service for the United States of America. The parade took place across Ellwood City to Veterans Memorial Park where the closing ceremonies were held.  Members of the Ellwood City Civic Chorale performed at the conclusion of the ceremony.  


Dollars for Scholars: Ellwood City Wolves Club Awards $14,930.00 in Scholarships

NORTH SEWICKLEY TWP.- Students, family and friends, along with the Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II members, gathered to celebrate the awarding of scholarships at their annual scholarship dinner on May 20 at the Connoquenessing Country Club.
