Borough of Ellwood City Announces Utility Account Budget Plan

According to a press release made available by the Borough of Ellwood City, a utility account budget plan has been announced. Ellwood City Borough Council adopted Resolution #2004-4 approving a budget payment plan for utility accounts under the following provisions: Customers may complete the application form provided by the Borough during the annual open enrollment period from the third Monday in March through the third Friday in April. Historical Society To Award The Robert and Janice Barensfeld Scholarships

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award the Robert and Janice Barensfeld scholarships of $1,500.00 each to two graduating seniors in 2020 who have been accepted into an institution of higher learning. Route 288 Wampum Road Bridge Restriction Continues

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing single-lane alternating traffic on the Wampum Road (Route 288) Bridge in Wayne Township and Wampum Borough, Lawrence County, will continue Monday, March 2 weather permitting. Single-lane alternating traffic will occur on the Route 288 bridge over the Beaver River between Main Street and River Road from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Friday, March 6. Bernstine Announces State Funding for School Safety Enhancements at Area School Districts

ELLWOOD CITY – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) today announced the School Safety and Security Committee has awarded $53.7 million in School Safety and Security Grants to school districts, vocational schools, intermediate units and charter schools across the state. POLICE: Criminal Complaints

The following are police criminal complaints filed at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Lawrence County office of Honorable Jerry G. Cartwright. According to a criminal complaint, a series of fraudulent activities resulted in charges of identity theft and receiving stolen property. State police were notified of the activities that took place on the victims debit card while the victim was hospitalized between the dates of December 7 and December 16, 2019. Community Rallies Around Councilwoman After Travel Expense Denial

Seems that despite a denial for a borough funded travel request, Councilwoman Jude Dici will be taking the trip to the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB) conference in Hershey after all.
