With high school graduation around the corner, EllwoodCity.org is now taking graduate submissions to appear on our website. https://ellwoodcity.org/class-of-2018/ Submissions can be sent electronically to ecstaff@ellwoodcity.org or a hard copy can be filled out in the Color Center on Lawrence Avenue. The coins were manufactured and used to help publicize the Diamond Jubilee celebration. Ellwood City was founded 1892 and celebrated their 75th anniversary with a series of events throughout the summer of 1967 named the Diamond Jubuilee. Lawrence County Kids Car Show April 29th

The Lawrence County Car Show is a family friendly event featuring cars, face painting and music. The month of April is know as Child Abuse Prevention Month and this event would like to shed light and bring awareness to child abuse, their community and appreciation for our countries resource families. Report: BC3 ranks No. 1 in salary-to-cost ratio among 42 area institutions

Butler County Community College has the highest ratio of graduates’ salaries 10 years after commencement for every dollar a student pays to attend BC3, besting ratios at 41 other Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio colleges and universities whose U.S. Department of Education information was analyzed by the Pittsburgh Business Times. CDC on the Flu: Entire Country Experiencing Flu at Same Time

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) is aware of this year’s flu epidemic and held a press conference last week with their Flu experts to update the public on the current flu statistics and outlook. A rare lunar event will be happening on January 31, something that hasn’t occurred since the 1800’s – a super blue blood moon. The event will combine 3 phenomena at the same time, a blue moon, a supermoon, and a total lunar eclipse, which will be most visible in the Eastern hemisphere.
