Ellwood City Area Public Library Activities for Week of December 18, 2017

Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following: Wednesday, December 20, at 10:00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a program designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. Calvin Presbyterian Hosts “Blue Christmas” Service

Calvin Presbyterian Church, 615 Crescent Avenue on Sunday, December 17 at 6:30 p.m. is hosting a “Blue Christmas” service for those in attendance to remember their loved ones. This is an ideal worship service for anyone in the community who is grieving or struggling in any way this Christmas season. There will be special music, an opportunity to light a candle in remembrance of a loved one, and a Word of hope. Light refreshments and opportunity for prayer will follow.

SOI Kids Christmas Treat Event

The SOI Christmas treat for kids will be this Saturday, December 16 at 2:00 pm at the Sons of Italy social hall in Ellwood City. This event is open to the public. Children will sing Christmas Carols and Santa will be there to hand out treats to all the children.


ECR Presents 2nd Annual Winter Wine and Brew Fest

Ellwood City Revitalization presents the 2nd Annual Winter Wine and Brew Fest! Admission includes beer and wine tasting, entertainment, DJ, raffles and a Chinese Auction. Ellwood City United Fund Hockey Ticket Raffle

The Ellwood City United Fund is having a Pens Hockey Ticket Raffle, winner will receive 4-Pens hockey tickets to the February 27 game in section 104, Row F, seats 7, 8, 9 and 10 as well as $200 cash. Christmas Angels Toy Drive

There is still time to donate to the Riverside Christmas Angel Collection Drive, which takes donations up until December 11. This weekend, the streets of Ellwood City were packed full of festive families welcoming the Christmas season! The Chamber of Commerce did a great job organizing all of the events, which included Light Up Night, Christmas in the Park, and a Christmas parade.
