The annual Ellwood City Area Historical Society Scholarship submission is quickly approaching.  In hand, the deadline is Thursday, April 11, 2019, at 2:00 p.m.  The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award two $1500.00 scholarships to two (2) graduating seniors.  Graduating seniors from Lincoln High School and Riverside High School who have been accepted to attend a college, Trade School or Performing Arts are eligible.  Applications may be received from the High School Student Guidance Counselor or from the Ellwood City History Center. Valerie Valentino conducted a meeting of the Corona D’italia #807 Memorial Scholarship Committee on Wednesday, March 20, 5:00 PM at Pizza Joe’s. The session began with the group enjoying lunch of their choice. Lois DiFrischia presented candy favors to all in attendance. The committee will host a Mother-Daughter-Scholarship dinner on Tuesday, May 07, 5:00 PM at the Wolverine Restaurant. Residents living in the Franklin and Marion Townships will be able to drop off their household hazardous and electronic waste “the right way” on Saturday, April 6 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Those who wish to participate can drop their items off at the Franklin Township Municipal Building.
