Adoption Connection, PA Launches Shoe Collection Drive to Raise Money

Shoe donations will also support micro-enterprises in developing nations and reduce what goes into landfills August 29, 2018: Adoption Connection, PA is conducting a shoe collection drive as part of a Senior Project for a High School Senior from Beaver on September 16, 2018.  Proceeds raised from his Sr. Project Shoe Drive will be donated to Adoption Connection, PA to raise funds to find homes for waiting children.  Adoption Connection, PA will earn funds based on the number of pairs collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated goods.  Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used or new…

Ellwood City’s Storytelling Festival

Ellwood City, PA – Ellwood City Community Enrichment and the Ellwood City Area Public Library will be hosting Ellwood City’s 17th Storytelling Festival on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from  4:00pm – 7pm in Ewing Park, Ellwood City, PA.  The festival is a beloved community event that features free activities for children and professional storytellers. Katy’s Homestyle Bakery, Custom Cakes by Jodie, and an ice cream truck will be set up for attendees to purchase sweets. There will be free balloon art, face painting, and horse-drawn trolley rides. Pie Festival sponsored by the Rita S. Hazen Education Foundation

If data metrics can be measured with pieces of pie, approximatley 750 people showed up to watch the Lincoln High School Blue Band perform their 2018 pre-game and halftime perfromances last night at Helling Stadium in Ewing Park.  The band performed its traditional pregame set list consisting of the drumline’s cadence, the Lincoln High School alma mater, the “Star Spangled Banner”, and “Fanfare” – a tribute to our U.S. military.  The halftime show featured songs such as “Paint it Black”, “ Mr  Roboto”, and “Bad Romance”. Ellwood City Animal Hospital Offerings for Fall 2018

This fall Ellwood City Animal Hospital is offering three clinics that could benefit any pet. The animal hospital has two doctors, Amanda Brown and Alyssa Carver. There are three different clinic dates that revolve around hemp/ CBD for pets, stem cell therapy, acupuncture and titer testing. Ellwood City’s Fall Fest & Car Cruise

Ellwood City, PA – Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Fall Fest & Car Cruise on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 11 am – 5 pm on Lawrence Avenue.  There will be food, vendors, family activities, a car cruise, and local entertainment. The Annual Pie Festival hosted by the Lincoln Blue Band will be held on Thursday, Aug. 23 at Helling Stadium.
