October Studios Hosting An Upcoming ‘Battle Of The Bands’

October Studios, a full-service recording studio located in Ellwood City, is hosting an upcoming ‘Battle of the Bands’ event with a chance for participating bands to win some serious cash. The live music event will be held at local entertainment/sports lounge, The Tee Box, on Saturday, February 26th beginning at 8:00 p.m. The event is for ages 21 and over. All Aboard Ellwood To Host Informational Meeting

Do you have a love of local history?  Are curious about the caboose that sits at the 4th Street railroad crossing in town? Come out and learn more! The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will hold their regular monthly meeting Monday February 14 at 7:00 pm. The meeting is held at the History Center, 310 Fifth Street, Ellwood City. The guest speaker for the evening will be Lincoln High School teacher David Gaibis. David was born and raised in Ellwood City. He attended the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Catholic grade school, attended Lincoln High School, and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1977 and Slippery Rock University in 2004. Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall Memorial Exhibit Needs Volunteers

The Ellwood City American Legion Post 157 is preparing to host the Vietnam Moving Wall in Ellwood City on August 17-22, 2022 and is need of volunteers. The Moving Wall is a portable, half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. that has been touring the country for over 30 years. The first organizational meeting for this patriot event will be held at the Ellwood City Historical Society Center, 310 5th Street, Ellwood City. Ellwood City Winter Wine and Brew Fest to be Held in March

The Annual Ellwood City Winter Wine and Brew Fest has been postponed until March. The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on March 26 at the Sons of Italy at 808 Lawrence Ave. It was  originally scheduled for Jan. 29. The event is an annual favorite and proceeds benefit Ellwood City Revitalization. The cost is $25 per person in advance and $30 per person at the door.
