Riverside Beaver County School District to Present Matilda

Note: This is the first in a two-part series featuring Riverside’s production of Matilda. Tomorrow’s article will feature four of the musical’s leads. It’s the ultimate girl boss production. She packs wit, a library of knowledge, and psychokinetic powers. And, although she’s just a little girl, Matilda is extraordinary. The Riverside Beaver County School District will celebrate its 59th anniversary of theatre with the landmark show Matilda March 24-27 in the high school auditorium. Winter Wine and Brew Fest Tickets Still Available

Tickets are still available for The Annual Ellwood City Winter Wine and Brew Fest. The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on March 26 at the Sons of Italy at 808 Lawrence Ave. The event is an annual favorite and proceeds benefit Ellwood City Revitalization. The cost is $25 per person in advance and $30 per person at the door. The event will be catered, and a cash bar will be available. Ellwood City Historical Society Set To Host March Meeting

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will host its public meeting on Monday, March 14, 2022. This month’s guest speaker will be Thomas Woodske. Tom Woodske was born and raised in New Brighton, Pa, now resides in Franklin Township. He had a long career leading economic and community development projects for Duquesne Light Company, with the State of Pennsylvania, Beaver County, and the Gateway Rehabilitation Center. Wampum American Legion Offering Its All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast

The Wampum American Legion is starting it’s all-you-can-eat Breakfast event again on Saturday, March 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event is scheduled to take place at the Legion club located at 436 Beaver Street, Wampum, PA 16157. Ellwood City Band Bash to Benefit Fourth of July Fireworks

The Ellwood City Band Bash is back!!! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, March 19, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Koehler Brewery Pub. “I’m super excited to be bringing the band bash back to Koehler Brewery where it started,” said event organizer Eric Rayner. “Back in February 2020 right before the pandemic hit we had what we called the fireworks fundraiser which later became the band bash. Annual Ellwood City Easter Egg Hunt Returns!

The Easter Bunny Is Back. The 27th Annual community Easter Egg Hunt is set to return to an in-person event in April! After COVID safety concerns cancelled the event entirely in 2020 and later forced a drive-thru only event in 2021, the event will return to Ewing Park on Saturday, April 9, 2022. “We are working on so much to make up for the two years we didn’t get to hold our event,” says committee member Kathy Brenner.
