Christ Presbyterian Church Boar’s Head Festival Returns!

After a two year hiatus, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Christ Presbyterian Church is happy to announce the return of the “Boar’s Head Festival.” The festival will take place the Saturday after Thanksgiving and, again on Saturday, December 3, 2022 and on Sunday, December 4, 2022. The performance on November 26, 2022 will be presented at 7:00 p.m.; the following weekend’s presentations will be at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 and at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Support For Our Seniors Workshop Planned

If you or a loved one are in need of support and resources through the aging process, join a free workshop planned for Wednesday, November 9th. Some area trunk or treat events that have made their information available to EllwoodCity.org include the following.  All events are free to the public. Annual Richard Hogue Memorial Blood Drive Scheduled For November 12

The annual Richard Hogue Memorial Blood Drive has been announced and scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Hogue, who was 28, was murdered on November 16, 2013. At the time of his death, he resided in Enon Valley, worked for Nick Mars Construction as a carpenter, and was a member of the Ellwood City Eagles Club. This blood drive is an important annual event for her family according to his mother, Debbie Murdock. “We know we can never bring Richard back but we have chosen to teak our pain and turn it into supporting life,” Murdock said….

Municipal Woman’s Club to Host Murder Mystery Dinner

It’s dinner to die for … The Municipal Woman’s Club is pleased to present The Death of Dr. Frankenstein, a murder/mystery dinner performed by Musical Mysteries & More. The event will benefit the Municipal Woman’s Club Scholarship Fund and will be held on October 20 at Shakespeare’s. Doors open at 6:15. The cost is $50 per person and includes a sit-down dinner and the mystery dinner theatre performance. According to organizer Phyllis Conway, the event has been a great success in the past.
