Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Christmas Dinner

The Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual meeting and Christmas dinner on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 5pm-8pm at the Connoquenessing Country Club. The event will feature live entertainment, a cocktail reception and cash bar. More information on the official flyer below.

Halloween Contest Winners

As of 8a.m. November 9, we counted the votes- it was a very close race! We would like to congratulate our first place winner, Jin, age 5 with a whopping total of 419 likes- as a box of mac’n’cheese, and our second place winners, Aria Eldridge 3 as Wilma Flinestone and her sister Rowyn Eldridge 1, as Pebbles Flinestone following closely behind with a total of 344 likes. Cast of Portersville Christian School’s Production of Antigone Announced

Local students in Portersville Christian School’s Production of Antigone – Cast and Crew Portersville, PA. The cast and crew of Portersville Christian School’s Fine Arts Committee’s modern English production of Sophocles’ Antigone has been announced. The Greek tragedy, the third chronologically of Sophocles’ Theban plays, will be presented Thursday, November 9, Friday, November 10 and Saturday November 11 at 7 PM each night, at the school, 343 East Portersville Road/Rt. 488 East, Portersville PA 16051. Poets Needed for Art Show

Daysprings on 6th is still accepting poets to read their poetry this Thursday evening during the Renew and Revive Art Show reception. Ellwood City Moose Christmas Fair

The Ellwood City Moose, 1400 Factory Ave. will be having a Christmas Fair on Sunday December 3rd from 10am – 3pm. This is the first year the Moose is having the event, which will be open to the public and will feature local vendors of all kinds, Christmas crafters, a concession stand, food and bake sale, and a Chinese auction. There will be 18-20 hand crafters, wreathes, hand painted bottles, leather, and others. There will also be consultants like Luluroe, health and beauty, nail art, Tupperware and others. “Toys for Tots” Collection Spot at Senator Vogel’s Office

State Senator Elder Vogel, Jr.’s office will be collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” program through December 15th. If you would like to participate, please drop off any new, unwrapped toys at the Senator’s office at 488 Adams Street in Rochester. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
