Beaver County Conservation District Hosting Tire Collection Event In May

The Beaver County Conservation District’s Mosquito Vector Disease Program is hosting a tire collection at the district office and environmental center May 3, 2025. The tire collection is offered with funding assistance through our PA Department of Environmental Protection West Nile Virus grant. This allows us to assist residents with disposal of old car and light truck tires and help clean up our communities and limit habitat for mosquitoes that are vectors for diseases like West Nile Virus. Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Collection Scheduled For April 30th

Franklin Township has announced its Electronic & Hazardous Waste Collection Event Date. Safely dispose of common household chemicals and take advantage of the collection event that is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Ellwood City Area Public Library Book Sale to Honor Former Director Veronica Pacella

Veronica Pacella created a legacy of love for literacy, and the Ellwood City Area Public Library will honor that legacy with a book sale in her name. Veronica’s Legacy Book Sale will be held March 6th,7th, and 8th during regular library hours. Upon her death, Veronica gifted the library more than 1,000 books from her personal collection.
