The Ellwood City Festival is a bit of a Rock Reunion for Rust Valley Revival (RVR). This year’s Festival will mark one year since the band’s first gig. According to Terry “Terr” Engelman one of the guitarists for RVR, the band is looking forward to their return. “Everyone is so nice at the Festival. The band always have a great time. Mayor Court Announces 4th Beautification Winner

Mayor Anthony J. Court presented the 4th 2023 Beautification Award to Tom and Mary Demas of 120 Glen Avenue. “The Demas’s take great pride in keeping their yard looking meticulous,” said Mayor Court in a statement. “Congratulations, Tom and Mary!” The Demas’s were presented with a yard sign to display and a gift certificate from a local restaurant. Lucarelli Named Post-Gazette Class-3A Player Of The Year, Oliastro Wins Coach Of The Year

Sophomore Christian Lucarelli was named by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as the Class-3A Player Of The Year. The newspaper announced a winner for each WPIAL Classification. The right-hander finished the season with a perfect 8-0 record and 1.07 ERA. Lucarelli allowed only 21 hits over 65 2/3 innings and struck out 129 batters. He has made a verbal commitment to Duke University. The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II met on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at their Shelter in Ewing Park. President Mike DeOtto opened the meeting introducing guests Jackie Dimeo and Kevin Swogger. Mrs Dimeo is the President of the Divine Grace Parish Christian Mothers. The Christian Mothers have worked with the Wolves Club Ash Wednesday Fish Fry’s and Golf Bash for many years. Borough Receives Pennsylvania Day Grant In Support of Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful

To support community improvement and engage volunteers, the Borough of Ellwood City announced today it is the recipient of a $2,000.00 2023 National Pennsylvania Day Mini Grant from America250PA and EQT Corporation, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and in support of Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.
