MAYOR: Speeding Enforcement In Borough

Mayor Anthony J. Court and the Ellwood City Police Department wants to announce that next week throughout the Borough of Ellwood City, Officers of the Ellwood City Police Department will again be conducting speeding enforcement. The department will be using their certified Enrad Laser speed timing device. Citations WILL BE issued for non-compliance. Mayor Court says his message is quite clear – PLEASE SLOW DOWN or face the consequences!

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: David Carter, 43, of Ellwood City is charged with Disorderly Conduct, Terroristic Threats, and Public Drunkenness after an incident on June 4th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 6:16 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Franklin Avenue for a report of a male making threats. Upon arrival, police spoke with one of the victims who related a male, later identified as Carter, came across the street and started making threats.
