As temperatures are expected to reach well into the upper 80s in the next few days, Ellwood City Borough electric customers are being asked to conserve power. Borough Officials said nothing is wrong with the electric grid; they’re just trying to take every avenue to reduce costs for customers. On July 2-4, 200 descendants of Guiseppe and Archangela Torre Reina, to the fifth generation, celebrated the 80th Reino Family Reunion at the Emily Cortez Shelter on Bridge Street. Established in 1936, the Reino Family Reunion has continued non-stop through war, sickness and death of family members. The descendants recognized four family members from the 1936 first reunion, Mary Louise Valvano Tomeo, Lewis “Wally” Valvano, Louis “Butch” Sudano and Rosanna Sudano Sciote.
