Senator Vogel Urges Residents to Take Part in Oct. 17 Tele-Town Hall on PA Heroin/Opioid Crisis

Pennsylvania’s heroin and opioid epidemic will be the focus of a special Telephone Town Hall meeting, to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 17th, according to Senator Elder Vogel. Senator Elder Vogel is urging area residents to participate in the event, which is part of a statewide effort to gather information on how the growing epidemic is affecting Pennsylvania and what can be done to save lives and battle addiction. Local Church Holds Live Auction and Pasta Dinner to Raise Scholarship Funds

ELLWOOD CITY, PA (Oct. 11, 2016) — North Sewickley Presbyterian Church, located at 106 Chapel Drive in North Sewickley Township, will host a pasta dinner and live auction fundraiser on Saturday, October 22, at 6 p.m., in their downstairs fellowship hall. Man Faces Several Charges After Parking at McDonalds Brett Paul Ianarelli, 27, of Ellwood City, is facing charges of two counts of driving under the influence, driving without a registration, operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection, and two counts of violation of controlled substance. He was arrested October 2 after officers responded to a call about an unresponsive man who was parked in the McDonald’s parking lot. The Ellwood City United Fund is announcing that it’s annual Fund Campaign will start on October 1, 2016 and end December 31, 2016. The United Fund has set a goal of $50,000.00 for the coming year of 2017.
