Animal Rights Supporters Urge Action on Bizzarro Bill

HARRISBURG, Nov. 14  – State Rep. Ryan Bizzarro, D-Erie, said he was delighted that animal rights supporters from across Pennsylvania held a rally at the state Capitol today urging passage of his legislation that would include stricter penalties and requirements so animals are not returned to their abusers. Also included in Bizzarro’s bill is anti-tethering provisions and language to protect horses. The bill remains in the Rules Committee awaiting a House vote. Painting Class at Lincoln High

A public painting class will be held at Lincoln High School in Room T on November 20 from 1-5p.m. Ages 14+ are encouraged to attend, the cost is $50.00 per person which includes a lesson, paint, brushes, and a canvas. No experience necessary.

Crime Watch Meeting

Mayor Court will host the next Crime Watch meeting, scheduled to be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 6:30p.m. in Council Chambers. Feature speaker will be Becky Pelloni Marshall. November Council Meeting Brief

Yesterday evening held the first of two monthly reoccurring council meetings; the first one is for the council committee to discuss what will be voted on at the next meeting. Beaver County Business Leader C.J. Betters Donates $100,000 to CCBC

Monaca, PA –Chuck “C.J.” Betters, CEO of C.J. Betters Enterprises, Inc., recently demonstrated his strong support for Community College of Beaver County’s efforts to train the workforce for current and emerging jobs in our region. A recent trend, The Mannequin Challenge, has been taking the internet by storm- teams of athletes, celebrities, and even tailgaters are participating in the challenge. According to Wikipedia, The Mannequin Challenge is a viral Internet video trend that started in 2016 where people remain frozen in action while a video is recorded, usually with music in the background. The hashtag #MannequinChallenge was used for popular social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. It is believed the phenomenon of remaining motionless like mannequins was started by students from Edward H. White High School in Jacksonville, Florida on October 26, 2016….

CCBC Partners With Regional Leaders To Host Cracker Plant Training and Career Expo

The Golden Agers of Bell Memorial were honored with a dinner of ham and scallop potatoes after church on Sunday, November 13th.
