Meth Lab Discovered in Ellwood According to the criminal complaint, on November 23 officers were dispatched to Smokin Dave’s Barbecue in reference to the owner having three suspicious persons exit a vehicle and walk toward railroad property carrying assorted bags. When people think of talent and fame, they often think of Hollywood -not so much Ellwood, but one Ellwood resident is unexpectedly changing that view. With just over two decades of dedication put towards performing arts, Jamie Hulick a native Ellwoodian, was recently asked by a contestant on The Voice to be featured on his newly published Christmas album. Tyler Alberts, a senior at Lincoln High School and team captain of their wrestling team, has been wrestling for a total of 12 years and plans on wrestling for at least the next four after he signed his letter of intent today to attend Wheeling Jesuit University. The university offered Alberts a scholarship for wrestling and education. Alberts said that after visiting six separate universities, he knew Jesuit was the right one. “I really like the coach, the team, and over all the entire campus. Several annual Ellwood City Christmas events took place this weekend including the greatly anticipated Light Up Night on Friday evening, the Christmas Parade Saturday midday, and Christmas in the Park also on Saturday, in the evening. Many local residents, organizations, and businesses took part in the parade; even the recently elected State Representative, Aaron Bernstine, could be seen handing out candy in the parade!
