Beaver Falls—Children 8 to 12 years old novice or intermediate programmers wanted for SCRATCH CAMP the first week of August. On Aug. 1 -4. Newbies to SCRATCH will meet 10:30 a.m. to Noon. Police: Man Threatens Relatives with a Knife

Adam Pounds Threatens Family Members According to the criminal complaint, on July 20 at approximately 5 p.m., police were dispatched to West Lawrence Ave. for a disturbance involving Adam Matthew Pounds, 25, of Ellwood City. The victims reported Pounds was upset that he had been kicked out of his grandfather’s house and responded by threatening three family members with a knife. Holy Redeemer Parish is celebrating 50 Golden Bazaar years starting Wednesday, July 27 and continuing through Saturday July 30. The bazaar’s rich and successful history was made possible by the work ethic of its parishioners and their dedication to serving their parish family and community but every successful initiative has a beginning and must be blessed with excellent leadership. Seats are still available for the Women’s Club of Ellwood City sponsored bus trip to Ohio Amish Country (Walnut Creek). Police: Four Arrested for Marijuana Possession, Burglaries in Wampum and Little Beaver

Four Arrested for Marijuana Possession According to the criminal complaints, on July 9 at approximately 2:50 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Lawrence Avenue after seeing a vehicle with a flat tire. The driver was identified as Damien Rushauwn Confer, 24, of New Castle. The officer observed a glass jar containing a green leafy substance. Delmar Presents Jack Ferrante Scholarship to Brian Hudson

Brian Hudson was presented with the annual Delmar Golf Course Jack Ferrante Scholarship at the July Board of Directors meeting. Brian will be attending the University of Mt. Union this fall and plans to participating on the Mt. Union golf tea. Presenting Brian with the check is Delmar Board President Sam Barry Jr.  


Delmar Presents Stephen Johns with Jersey

Life-long Delmar Golf Course member and Wampum native Stephen Johns was presented with a NHL Dallas Stars jersey on behalf of the members and Delmar Golf Course Board of Directors in recognition of his accomplishments. Stephen is a current member of the NHL Dallas Stars and graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Stephen’s Dallas jersey will be on display at the golf course along with a plaque chronicling his NHL accomplishments. Stephen will be hosting a golf outing July 23rd at Delmar golf course to raise money for Breast Cancer awareness.
