Paint The Town Purple Survivor Luncheon Sunday, June 4, 2017 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. EC Adult Basketball League Regular Season Finale Recap

There was no shortage of action and a healthy dose of competitive hoops in the Ellwood City Adult Basketball League’s regular season finale Sunday at the Family Center. Channeling their inner Macho Man, Big Fun had their elbows ready for their long awaited rematch against Turncoats. The defending league champions had Sunday on their calendars circled since March 5th when Turncoats handed them their first loss. Turncoats moseyed on into the Family Center with an outstanding league best 16-1 record.  The rematch was set. Information Regarding New Utility Bill Format

Ellwood City Borough Manager Bob Villella released information regarding the updated utility billing format. Villella stresses that although there is a delay in the April billing due to the billing program change-over, residents will still have a full 10 days to pay their bill – which he believes will be arriving next week. “It is not the customers fault that the billing is delayed and they will have the full amount of time to pay their bill as usual.” Villella says the new billing will continue on a 30-31 day cycle and will have much more detailed information including a…

Ellwood City Borough Council Meet the Candidate Night Recap

Less than half of the running candidates attended yesterday evening’s Meet the Candidate Night, hosted by the Ellwood City Kitchen Cabinet. Four candidates, three of which are current members of council running for reelection, attended the public event. Democratic incumbent, Michele Lamenza, and newcomer, Caleb Cragle attended – their challengers, former councilman James Barry, and newcomers Bryan Vincent and John Pansera were not present. CCBC Honors Graduates, Welcomes Back Founding Faculty Leader, and Debuts Long-Lost Alma Mater

Monaca, PA – Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) held its annual Commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 4 to recognize the Class of 2017 and conclude a year-long celebration of the College’s 50th anniversary. 435 students, who completed their studies in August 2016, December 2016, and May 2017, were awarded an associate degree, certificate, or diploma from the School of Aviation Sciences; School of Nursing and Allied Health; and School of Business, Arts, Sciences, and Technology.
