The Public Works Construction is ‘Progressing Well’

The demolition of the Ellwood City Public Works Building and a few other surrounding lots is progressing well, according to Borough Manager, Robert Villella. Mayor’s Advisory Meeting

On Thursday, Mayor Court held the Mayor’s Advisory Committee meeting at Nico’s Restaurant on Wampum Avenue. During the breakfast meeting the Mayor advised members who the six winners for the 2017 Beautification Awards were and that each was presented with an Award Sign and a gift certificate from one of our local restaurants. BC3 to Host OSHA Construction Standards, Trainer Courses

Butler, PA – Butler County Community College has entered into a host-site agreement with West Virginia University Safety and Health Extension to host Occupational Safety and Health Administration Training Institute Education Center courses on BC3’s main campus and at BC3 @ LindenPointe. CCBC Revives Gift of $150,000

Monaca, PA – The Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) has received a $150,000 gift from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation to create and lead a tristate consortium of industry leaders, higher education providers, workforce development boards, and others in order to prepare a trained workforce for energy and advanced manufacturing jobs. BREAKING: Attempted Robbery at Lawrence Ave. Wesbanco

Ellwood City Police are requesting your help locating the attempted robbery suspect. The attempted robber entered the bank this afternoon at approximately 2:52pm and presented a note a the teller window before fleeing. The suspect is an African American Male, approximately 5’10”, mid 20’s, athletic build.  He was last seen leaving the bank on foot, wearing a blue t-shirt, jean shorts, high-top white socks, and a blue hat. Mayor Court Presents Commendation to Local Resident

BC3 Cultural Center: Free Concert, Free Ice Cream and Cool Art

(Butler, PA) The Cultural Center at Butler County Community College will provide Graeter’s Ice Cream free to those attending the Pittsburgh Philharmonic’s free performance Aug. 13, an overture that will give guests a taste of Succop Theater’s fall 2017 Performing Artists series.
