BC3 Announces President’s List, Dean’s List and Graduates for Fall 2023

Butler County Community College is proud to announce the names of students who have made the president’s list and dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester, as well as the names of those who have graduated recently. Students who have achieved a cumulative GPA (grade-point average) of 3.75 or higher are named to the president’s list following completion of at least 12 semester hours or upon completion of degree requirements. POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

THEFT: On the dates of January 16th and 17th, multiple victims have reported thefts in the area of Perry Highway and Frew Mill Road in Perry Township, Lawrence County. Through investigation, PA State Police have discovered that several wallets, mechanical tools, check books, and a firearm were taken from the vehicles that were unlocked and parked in driveways. THEFT: Kaitlyn Simmons, 30, of Ellwood City was charged with Theft after an incident on January 23rd. Donation Made To ECPD K9 Fund and Youth Bureau Program

A $5,000 donation through the efforts of the KC Venezie Charitable Foundation and Mayor Anthony J. Court was made this week to the Ellwood City Police Department K9 Fund and Youth Bureau Program. The donation was provided to help support the police departments programs that assist with community protection and safety. The ECPD K9 Fund and its Youth Bureau program are a fully funded by donations. Funds are used for training, equipment, food and housing for the Ellwood City Police Department K9 dog, Nico. Franklin Twp VFD Community Blood Drive Is Monday

Reminder the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department Community Blood Drive is next Monday, January 29th. Roth Scores 31, Wolverines Knock Off Neshannock

Joseph Roth scored 31 points, including 23 in the second half, as Ellwood City knocked off Neshannock 54-47 Tuesday night at Lincoln High School. The victory avenges a December loss to the Lancers and puts Ellwood City (10-6 Overall, 5-2 Section 3A-1) only one section victory behind section co-leaders Mohawk and Neshannock. Ellwood City Boys Basketball Game Postponed

UPDATE (01/22/24): The Ellwood City boys basketball game against New Brighton that was postponed will be made up on January 31st  According to information made available by the school district, the Ellwood City boys basketball game scheduled at New Brighton Friday night has been postponed. No further information or reschedule date has been announced as of noon on Friday.
