Riverside and Lincoln Football Tickets for Sale

Student tickets for Riverside High School’s home game Friday will only be available from 7:15 a.m. to 8 a.m. daily this week at the district athletic office. No sales will occur during lunch. Student tickets are $2, but are not available at the gate before the game. Tickets at the gate are $5. Ellwood City vs. Hopewell tickets are being pre-sold at the high school, no student tickets will be sold at the gate. Student tickets are $3 and adults are $5.

New Castle Store Owner Offering Reward for Information on Robbery Suspects

According to Michelle Cioffi’s Facebook post, her business, Puff N Snuff on Croton Ave. was broken into last night with a rock smashed through the front door. “This is what I walked into this morning. A rock through my door and my cigarette racks emptied,” her Facebook post states. “This is why no one wants to bring new businesses and jobs to our community.” She posted security camera photos of the suspects and is offering a reward for anyone who has information on who committed the crime. Woman Charged with Endangering Welfare of Children After Incident Involving Marijuana

According to the criminal complaint, Ashley Anne Birchfield, 33, of Ellwood City, is facing charges of endangering the welfare of children after an incident on August 29. On August 29 at approximately 11p.m. officers responded to a complaint that the residents of the apartment were smoking and the smoke was emanating throughout the hallways of the apartment building. Officers knocked on the suspects door and a juvenile answered, leaving the door open while he searched for an adult. Little Beaver Historical Society Fall Festival

The Little Beaver Historical Society, located at 803 Plumb Street, Darlington PA., 16115, will be hosting a fall festival on September 9 and 10 from 9a.m. – 5p.m. All of the Society’s buildings including the Greersburg Academy, the Red Brick Museum the McCarl industrial museum, 1820’s log cabin and forge will be open during the festival and free to tour. Ellwood City Historical Society Annual Picnic

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will host its annual picnic beginning at 6 p.m. Sept. 11 in Ewing Park’s shelter No. 8, which is located in the back loop of the park. The event is open to the public and those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share and their own table service. The society will furnish the meat, drinks and dessert. After one quarter, things looked bright for the Wolverines as the early score was only 7-0 Central Valley, but…football is a four-quarter sport. You can even say the Wolverines had a decent second half only giving up another 7 points there.
