Request for Proposals for Lawrence Avenue Lots

Notice is hereby given that Ellwood City Revitalization (ECR) has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the redevelopment of 509 / 511 Lawrence Avenue (Parcel lD #12-016800) and 513 / 515 Lawrence Avenue (Parcel lD #12-005300). These are two contiguous lots in Ellwood City’s downtown. Through the RFP, ECR is seeking to select a qualified developer that will redevelop the property in a manner consistent with the Borough’s current zoning ordinance and specifically C-3 Downtown Commercial District Regulations – Pedestrian Dominant uses. Ellwood School District Explores Curtain Wall Project Options

The Ellwood City School Board is exploring options for Lincoln High to undergo what’s being called the Curtain Wall Project – an architectural renovation for more efficient insulation. A curtain wall system is an outer covering of a building in which the outer walls are non-structural, utilized to keep the weather out and the occupants in. Since the curtain wall is non-structural, it can be made of lightweight materials, thereby reducing construction costs. Poets Needed for Art Show

Daysprings on 6th is still accepting poets to read their poetry this Thursday evening during the Renew and Revive Art Show reception. Meet the Cast Part 1: Little Woman

Lincoln High School will be performing the classic tale, Little Woman as their musical this year. According to Laura Adam, the Musical Director, the musical will showcase the talent of the students who have dedicated a lot of time and energy to their roles. “We start a workshop in June with 3-4 different shows and choose the one that best suits the students. Ellwood City Area Historical Society: On the Eve of Destruction

This is the first of four releases presented by the Ellwood City Historical Society concerning the “We Can Do It!”, exhibit to be held at the History Center, 310 Fifth Street, Ellwood City.
