2018 Lincoln High Men’s Homecoming Court Results

Congratulations to the Lincoln High School 2018 Homecoming King Court! The court included Jake Alberts, Ethan Lordi, Joey Houk, Reed Angelucci, Rocco Sesti, Ethan Coy, Alex Fotia, and Caiden Myers. With Joey Houk crowned as king and Alex Fotia as runner up. The court itself is chosen by the varsity cheer squad. The Homecoming Queen will be announced tonight at the Freedom against Ellwood home game at half time. POLICE: Two Vehicle Break-Ins Reported In North Side Area

Two reports of vehicle thefts were reported this week on Ellwood City’s North Side – each reported within 24 hours of each other.   First, on Wednesday, September 19th, Erica Miller, of Hazel Avenue, reported that an unknown actor entered a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe parked in her driveway between 10:00 p.m and 7:30 a.m. Miller reported that her ashtray was removed which contained $3.00 to $4.00 dollars in change. Miller stated that the motor vehicle was left unlocked at the time of incident. Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 resumed their monthly meetings on Wednesday, September 12 at 5:00pm. The session was held at Pizza Joe’s and began with a luncheon hosted by the President, Clemmy Sirimarco and served by Historian, Mary Jane Folino and Sentinel, Lois DiFrischia. Municipal Women’s Club Host Las Vegas Impersonator Tim Beasley

The Ellwood City Municipal Women’s Club hosts the Las Vegas Impersonator Tim Beasley on Saturday, October 20 at 7:00pm with doors opening at 6:00pm. Event will take place at the SOI Hall on Lawrence Avenue.  Tim Beasley has 32 years of experience as a performer traveling the country doing shows in a variety of venues; including Las Vegas. Beasley will be performing a two hour show impersonating Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Tony Bennett. Penn State Master Gardeners of Lawrence County Host Basic Training Class

The Penn State Master Gardeners of Lawrence County will be hosting a Basic Training Class beginning Fall 2018. Master Gardener volunteers support Penn State Extension’s educational programs in consumer horticulture. The Basic Training class will include the following topics: botany, plant propagation, soil health and fertilizer management, composting, controlling pests safely, entomology, plant diseases, indoor plants, vegetables, lawn care, pruning, woody ornamentals, herbaceous plants, native plants, weeds and invasives. Ellwood City Community Enrichment and the Ellwood City Area Public Library hosted Ellwood City’s 17th Storytelling Festival on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Ewing Park. The festival is a beloved community event that had featured free activities for children and professional storytellers.
