POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

RESISTING ARREST: Blake Zeigler, 24, of Ellwood City, is charged with Resisting Arrest, Public Drunkenness, Disorderly Conduct, and Receiving Stolen Property after an incident on March 20th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 12:27 a.m., police located Zeigler stumbling in and out of the roadway near Haig Street, yelling obscenities, and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Upon approach by police Zeigler gave inconsistent statements and continued to shout and harass police and evade approaching officers. Distracted Driving Law Takes Effect Next Week

Harrisburg – In keeping with Governor Shapiro’s commitment to safety on Pennsylvania roads, the Shapiro Administration urged drivers to put down the phone while driving, ahead of the June 5 effective date for “Paul Miller’s Law,” which makes it illegal to use a hand-held cell phone while driving. As part of his mission to provide a safe transportation system for all Pennsylvanians, Governor Josh Shapiro signed Senate Bill 37 into law on June 5, 2024. The Riverside Panthers are WPIAL Champions once again behind historic pitching perfection. Senior Zach Hare tossed a perfect game Thursday evening to lead the Riverside Panthers to a 1-0 victory over Quaker Valley to claim its WPIAL Class 3A Championship. The 15-strikeout, no hit, no walk performance capped a legendary postseason run by the Slippery Rock University commit.
