Ellwood City’s Annual Cleanup to be Held in August

If you have waste to get rid of, here’s your chance. On Saturday, August 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. the borough will have dumpsters available at their 1200 Factory Avenue site. The cost is $8 per vehicle load. Residents must have a tag to be able to drop off waste. Tags must be purchased in advance at the utility window at the borough building, 525 Lawrence Ave. Borough employees will be on site to help and to monitor drop off. There is also an option to have waste picked up curbside at a cost of $25 per house….


3rd Winner For The Mayor Beautification Award

On Monday, June 17th Mayor Anthony J. Court presented to Filipino and Mary Dalessio from Line Avenue, with a yard sign and a restaurant gift certificate.  The Dalessio’s are the 3rd Beautification Winners for 2019. “It is easy to see the hard work they put into their property to create this beautiful landscaping,” said Court. Ellwood City Medical Center Offering Kidney Classes

As part of its outreach efforts, Ellwood City Medical Center will be hosting “Kidney Smart Classes.” The next class will be held June 24 at 1 p.m. in the Ellwood City Medical Center’s Basement Dining Room, 724 Pershing Street. Commemorative Photo Planned For Penn-Ohio Alumni

ATTENTION: For any former high school football players who have played in a Penn-Ohio Classic football game, there is a planned commemorative photo for all ex-players scheduled next week. According to Lincoln High School Athletic Director Curt Agostinelli, the photo is planned to take place on Wednesday, June 19th at Blackhawk High School at 6:45 pm. Mayor Anthony J. Court of Ellwood City Borough received a service award this month in Hershey, Pennsylvania. May Court was proud to receive the “Cecil K. Leberknight Award” on June 12, 2019, in Hershey, PA.   The award was in honor of his dedicated service for over 15 years to the Borough of Ellwood City.
