THEFT: According to a police report, a 58-year-old male from Ellwood City reported a theft of a gun from his residence on Dutch Ridge Road, Wayne Township. Upon police arrival, it was discovered that a Ruger 22 cal. was taken from the clove box of an unlocked Chevy Silverado. The gun is valued at $476.97. The theft was reported to have taken place between April 1st and June 19th of 2024 and the investigation is ongoing. LHS Class of 1969 To Hold Its 55-Year Reunion On July 5th

When the members of the Lincoln High School Class of 1969 received their diplomas, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walk on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission and the Woodstock festival rocked a farm in upstate New York for three days. Now, fifty-five years later the class is getting back together with a planned class reunion. Mayor Court Announces 6th Beautification Winner of 2024

Mayor Anthony J. Court presented the 6th winner of the “Beautification Awards” to Joe and Colleen Konyak. “The hard work that went into this property did not go unnoticed,” said Mayor Court in a statement. The Konyak’s were presented with a dinner certificate and a yard sign to display at 233 Foch Street. There will be two bonus awards this year bringing the “Beautification Awards” winners to eight. Ellwood City Tennis Set To Host Clinic

Ellwood City Tennis will be conducting a tennis clinic for any boy or girl interested in learning the basics of tennis. The tennis clinic will be held on July 8th, 9th, and 10th 2024 at the Ewing Park Courts from 10:00 a.m to 11:15 a.m. Any child ages 5-12 is eligible to sign up and participate. Each participant will receive a t-shirt. The clinic will promote tennis skills from the basic to moderate level. “The participants will learn skills pertaining to tennis. 5th Beautification Award Winner Announced

Mayor Anthony J. Court presented the 5th winner of the “Beautification Awards” to Kevin and Delana Shaffer. “Excellent work and lots of dedication went into this property at 904 Plymouth Lane,” said Mayor Court in an emailed statement.
