Riverside Baseball Federation 2024 Registration Now Available

Riverside Baseball Federation (RBF) spring registration for its 2024 season is now underway. The Ellwood City girls basketball team used a decisive third quarter to race away from rival Riverside Monday evening and pick-up a 60-31 RivEll Cup victory that secured a Class 3A playoff berth. The Wolverines used a 24-4 third quarter onslaught to pull away from the visiting Panthers. Claire Noble led all scorers with 25 points including five 3-pointers to pace the Ellwood City offense. PHOTOS: PA Turnpike Continues Progress Thru Stage 3 Of Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project

Those who drive near the Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project are beginning to notice that construction of the new bridge over the Beaver River is now underway. The contractor is currently constructing new abutment footings and drilled shafts, pier footings and columns. Additionally, earthwork and drainage work continues to allow for the wider road and the new interchange ramps being constructed. Accordingly, Turnpike travel lanes have been shifted southward to accommodate the new bridge and roadway construction. BC3 To Expand Pioneer Pantry To Lawrence Crossing As Part Of $20K Grant

New Castle, PA — A Butler County Community College food security program for low-income students will receive a $20,000 grant that will in part expand a 4½-year-old main campus Pioneer Pantry to BC3 @ Lawrence Crossing and to other BC3 additional locations in Armstrong, Butler and Jefferson counties. Roth Erupts For 51 Points, Wolverines Fall To Mohawk

Senior Joseph Roth poured in a career-high 51 points Friday Night but Ellwood City lost in a 82-77 shootout to the section-leading Mohawk Warriors. The 51 points set a school record, breaking the old mark of 48 set by Theron Colao in 2004. Lady Wolverines Knock Off Section Leading Lancers

Just days after the boys basketball team defeated Neshannock, the Ellwood City girls basketball team went on the road and upset the section-leading Lady Lancers 67-60 Thursday night. Five Wolverines scored in double figures in the sound victory as Ellwood City led throughout the contest in handing the Lancers (11-5 Overall, 5-1 Section 3A-1) their first section loss. BC3 Announces President’s List, Dean’s List and Graduates for Fall 2023

Butler County Community College is proud to announce the names of students who have made the president’s list and dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester, as well as the names of those who have graduated recently.
