Betty J.  Weingartner Fontana, 96, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday afternoon,  September  9,  2019. She was born  in Ellwood City on  January  11, 1923,  to the late Clarence  and Grace Newton                   Weingartner. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941, and worked as a telephone operator at the Bell Telephone office in Ellwood City.  She also worked at the Bell Memorial  Church Youth Center. He was born in Ellwood City on October 10 1990 to the late John Crespo, and Christina Hill of Fombell. Marc graduated from Shenango High School in 2009. Roberta was born on June 13, 1925 to the late Hugh and Mary Pollack Maxwell.  She was married  first to the late Floyd Thorpe and later to the late James J. Fatula. Shirley F. Snare, 84, of  Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, August 1 2019, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, after a long illness. She was born in Ellwood City on June 22 1935 to the late Victor and Lillian McCready  Rider.
