Judith “Judy” E. Zimmerman, 85, formerly of North Sewickley Township, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at UPMC Passavant. Born in Ft. Frederick J. Suhre, 79, of Perry Township, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 7, 1938, Fred was the son of the late Frederick and Mary Pahurich Suhre.  He retired in 2001 as a field service engineer from Techint.  Fred was a veteran of the US Army and served for 30 years in the Ohio National Guard 838th Military Police Company.  A member of the Ellwood City Saxon Club, Fred liked to tinker with antique cars and with his motorcycle.  He enjoyed traveling the world, dining out and being social. Keaira Cunningham, 16, of Deemer Avenue, Ellport passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Ellwood City Medical Center. Born in Brighton Township on May 22, 2001 Keaira was the daughter of Dana Locke of New Castle and the late Alan B. Mary Beth Dunning, 57 of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in West Penn Hospital following a courageous battle with Leukemia. Born in Ellwood City on September 4, 1960, Mary Beth was the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Rose Ann Sulia Dunning.  Mary Beth started her career at Duquesne Light now known as First Energy as an electrical engineer in 1982.  Over the past 35 years she worked in various positions.  Her most recent position she held was the Supply Chain Manager.  She was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish in Ellwood City.  Mary Beth…

Jeffrey A. Linville, 58 of Line Avenue, Ellwood City passed away in Koppel on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Born in Ellwood City on November 3, 1959, Jeffrey was the son of Lemuel and Janie Courson Linville of Ellwood City.  He is also survived by his companion, Amanda D’Amico of Koppel and his two brothers, Randy (Krista) Linville of New Cumberland, PA and Gregg (Jody) Linville of Ellwood City. Kurt Steilner, 74, of Harrisville passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at VNA Hospice in Butler. Born in Transylvania, Romania on July 4, 1943, Kurt was the son of the late John and Katherine Orr Steilner.  He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps. William “Bill” Cox, 75, of Ellwood City, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Brighton Township. Born in Beaver Falls on June 27, 1942, Bill was the son of the late Everett and Martha Schwartz Cox.  After Bill retired from B&W, he worked for several years at Camp Kon-O-Kwee.  Bill served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.  He loved riding and restoring vintage motorcycles and he also loved his black lab, Cole.  A lifetime member of the NRA, Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited and Castlewood Rod…

John Robert Gavrile, 65 of Ellwood City passed away at Allegheny General Hospital on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Born in Ellwood City on April 28, 1952, John was the son of the late John and Antonetta Butchelle Gavrile.  John is survived by his wife, the former Kelly Jesseman whom he married on September 16, 1979.  John had worked at the Aetna Standard in Ellwood until its closing.  He later worked for Phoenix Glass in Monaca and at US Airways.  John always enjoyed sports, playing as a youth and later in several Ellwood adult softball leagues.  John also enjoyed coaching, he…

Harold L. Laderer II, 60, of Worth Township, a much loved husband, father, grandpa, son, brother and uncle, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at VNA Hospice. Raymond Michael Bettoni, 60, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away on October 19, 2017, ending his courageous battle with cancer. Born in Ellwood City on April 22, 1957, Raymond was the son of the late Raymond and Rose Delorenzo Bettoni.  He graduated from Riverside High School in 1975 and enlisted in the United States Navy the following year.  He served on the USS Tarawa during Desert Storm.  Raymond retired from the Navy in 2000 as a Petty Officer 1st Class.  He then worked as a computer analyst for CVS until he retired in March of 2017.
