Born on December 15, 1945 in Darlington, PA, Sandy was the daughter of the late Michael and Alice Sanders Pivarnik.  She graduated from New Brighton High School in 1964.  Sandy was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and had worked at the former BVM Church.  After graduating the Lawrence Co. Viola E. Jeckavitch, 92, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away at the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Born in New Brighton, PA on June 16, 1926, Viola was the daughter of the late Adam and Julia Zombeck Grossman.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Brownie S. Jeckavitch who passed away on November 22, 2000.  They were married on November 24, 1945.  Viola retired from the Ellwood City Hospital in January of 1990 where she worked as a nurse for 33 years.  She was a graduate of the Rochester Hospital School of Nursing.  Viola was a member of…

Ida J. Ionellie, 80 of Ellwood City passed away at UPMC Presbyterian on Sunday, December 23, 2018. Born in Ellwood City on June 11, 1938, Ida was the daughter of the late John R. and Antonella Morella Pratt. Ida is survived by her husband, Joseph Ionellie, whom she married on June 24, 1967. Ida owned and operated Ida’s Luncheonette in Ellwood in the late 60’s and early 70’s.   She also had worked at Folino’s Pharmacy and Rite Aid. Ida was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish. Paul Scott “Scooter” Hays, 53, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born in Beaver Falls on January 12, 1965 Scott was the son of Leslie Grey Hays and the former Rebecca Moore.  He formerly owned and operated Scott’s General Contracting and Hays Welding and most recently welded at Aiken’s Refuse.  Scooter, as he was know to family and friends, enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and working on cars. Anna Sheeler, 97, of Ellport, passed away at Beaver Valley Health and Rehab Center on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 3:00 PM. Born in Ellport on April 7, 1921, Anna was the daughter of the late Gabriel Harry and Antonia “Baba” Repela Kiddon.  Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Brenda L. Osborne, 61 of Ellwood City, passed away at her residence on Monday, November 26, 2018. Born in Ellwood City on July 12, 1957, Brenda was the daughter of the late John H. and Iva G. Mitchell Wallace. She is survived by her husband, David G. Osborne whom she married on November 12, 1977.  Brenda retired as a server at the Cranberry Township Eat‘n’Park where she worked for many years.  She also enjoyed playing bingo and bowling.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed baking. It is with great sadness that the family of Eduardo F. Cidade, Sr. of North Sewickley, inform you of his passing on Sunday, November 18, 2018. He was 62. Mr. Cidade was born on October 22, 1956 to the late Ormenzinda and Eduardo V. Cidade. Eduardo was predeceased by his dear wife, Selina Anne, to whom he was married for 37 years prior to her passing.
