Patricia “Patty” James, 77, of Ellwood City, passed away in her residence on Monday, August 16, 2021. Born in Conway, PA on May 20, 1944, Patty was the daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine Crapis Ecimovic.  Patty was a florist, working at Jean’s Flower Shop on Fourth Street until it closed and later at Heart’s Desire on Lawrence Avenue.  She enjoyed taking trips to the casino and watching HGTV, especially episodes of Property Brothers.  Most of all, Patty loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wilbert S. Cover, Jr., 86, of Ellwood City, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Grove at New Castle. Born on May 25, 1935 in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, Wilbert was the son of the late Wilbert and Helen Adams Cover.  He retired from Townsend where he worked as a wire drawer.  Wilbert was a Veteran of the Unites State Marine Corps.  He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Carol A. “Flicka” Colaberardino, 80, of Ellwood City, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Heritage Valley Beaver after a 10 year battle with multiple myeloma. Born in Ellwood City on December 18, 1940, Flicka was the daughter of the late Frank “Grundy” and Stella DeVinney Volpe.  She married Thomas “Dino” Colaberardino on November 20, 1965.  Flicka retired from Calgon in 1995 where she worked as a traffic supervisor.  A member of Holy Redeemer Church, Flicka enjoyed gardening. Raymond C. Witherow, 94 of Northview Estates passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at his residence. Kenneth Warren Jorgensen, 92 of Zelienople, formerly of Ellwood City and Alexandria, passed away at Allegheny General Hospital on Monday, July 19, 2021. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 13, 1928, Kenneth was the son of the late Johannes and Evangeline Harnes Jorgensen.  At the age of 17, Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.  After boot camp, Kenneth was assigned to Camp David where he had the honor to guard both President Truman and President Eisenhower.  While stationed in Washington D.C., he met Leatrice Koach on The Mall, who later became his wife of 70 years.  Leatrice passed away…

In loving memory of Joyce Ierace, who passed away on April 13, 2021. Joyce Fosnaught Ierace was born on May 12, 1936, in Ellwood City, PA. She married Eugene Ierace in 1956. They had four children: Kathy, Tom, Betty Jo, and Dan. They moved to Weirton, WV, in 1967 and lived there for many years. They moved to Laurinburg, NC, in 1979 and eventually moved back to Ellwood.
