3 Rivers Comicon puts the comics back in Comicon! The 3 Rivers Comicon will take place June 1-2, 2024 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, putting the focus back on comics, creators and fans. Registration for 2024 Summer Playground Program At Ewing Park

The Borough of Ellwood City will be holding its 2024 Summer Playground Program again at Ewing Park this summer. Historical Society Selects Scholarship Recipients

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society is pleased to announce the winners of the Robert and Janice Barensfeld and the Marlene Painter scholarships. Eleven students from Lincoln and Riverside High Schools submitted essays for these grants. The scholarships are available to any high school senior living in the Ellwood City area regardless of the school they attend. Seven students wrote about “A Prominent Person of the Ellwood City Area” for the Barensfeld award, established in honor of long-time prominent Ellwood City citizens Robert and Janice Barensfeld. BC3, Guest Students Can Work Ahead, Save Through College’s Summer Courses

Butler County Community College’s nearly 150 summer session courses lasting four to 12 weeks will provide an opportunity for BC3 and guest students to complete required courses in preparation for the fall semester or to advance toward graduation, a BC3 administrator said. Over $6.3 Million in State Infrastructure Grants Announced For Beaver & Lawrence Counties

$600M Settlement Reached By Norfolk Southern Related To East Palestine Train Derailment

HARRISBURG – In the wake of the recent $600 million settlement reached by Norfolk Southern in its class-action lawsuit related to its train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, last year, state Sens. HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority (PBDA) announced today that Comcast Cable Communications, LLC (Beaver County) is being awarded over $4.2 million and Armstrong Telecommunications, Inc. HARRISBURG – A group of state House Republicans announced last week a package of bills designed to support and promote startup initiatives across the Commonwealth.
