CCBC Celebrates Student Success at First Annual Night of Excellence

Aliquippa, PA – On a beautiful spring evening, Community College of Beaver County brought together faculty and staff, trustees, donors, and families to recognize and celebrate 120 students who this year have achieved success in the classroom, on campus, and in the community. CCBC’s first annual Night of Excellence – A Celebration of Student Success took place on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:00 p.m. at The Club at Shadow Lakes in Aliquippa. State Low-Interest Loan to Help North Sewickley Township Fire Department Purchase Truck, Says Bernstine

BEAVER FALLS – State Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-New Beaver) announced today that Pennsylvania’s Volunteer Loan Assistance Program has approved a $200,000 low-interest loan for the North Sewickley Township Volunteer Fire Department. Four RBI Day for Magill Leads Wolverines Past Freedom Area

Wolverines defeated Freedom Area 16-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Brooklyn Magill, who drove in four runners. Magill drove in runs on a single in the second, a single in the fourth, and a single in the fifth. Wolverines collected 16 hits. Two CCBC Students Named to All-Pennsylvania Academic Team and Honored in Harrisburg

Monaca, PA – Each year, Pennsylvania’s 14 community colleges together with Phi Theta Kappa, the international two-year college honor society, name community college students from across the Commonwealth to the All-PA Academic Team for their academic achievements in the classroom and volunteerism in their communities. Local Girl Brings Gifts to Ellwood City Police Officers

Samantha Davis brought gift bags to EC Police Department on Wednesday afternoon. Davis brought a gift bags for each officer from the Holy Redeemer Elementary School, where she attends. Samantha is part of a program initiated by Holy Redeemer school students who pray for local first responders as part of their everyday prayers. The officers show their appreciation by attended functions at the school for each class grade who adopted an officer.
