Lincoln High Grad Leads BC3 Golfers to Victory Again

Butler, PA – Tyler Good, a 2017 Lincoln High graduate in his second appearance with the Butler County Community College golf team, shot a 9-over 81 Tuesday to lead the Pioneers to victories over Westmoreland County Community College and the Community College of Allegheny County-Boyce in BC3’s home opener at Lake Arthur Golf Club. Bridge Work Expected to Cause Delays, Traffic & 80-Mile Detour

The Pennsylvania Turnpike is using an innovative engineering procedure, Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC), which allows workers to replace bridges in 55 hours instead of requiring a year or more of roadway construction. As a result, there will be a PA Turnpike closure in our area that will likely have a major impact on travel at the end of September. Lincoln High Grad Stars in BC3 Golf Debut

Tyler Good, a 2017 Lincoln High graduate in his first appearance with the Butler County Community College golf team, shot a 4-over 76 Friday to lead the Pioneers to an eight-stroke victory over Westmoreland County Community College in Apollo. Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 Monthly Meeting

Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 13 at 5p.m. at Pizza Joe’s. President Clemmy Sirimarco hosted a pizza luncheon served by Trustee Pudue LaCava, Secretary Jackie Perno, Guard Lous DiFrischia and Historian Mary Jane Folino. Trustee Patty Regna voiced the invocation and remembered all people affected by the recent hurricanes. Birthday wishes were extended to Treasurer Louise Vitullo for her September birthday. Perspective new member, Margaret Cancelli was welcomed by the members. Sirimarco conducted the business session that followed. Class of 1957 60th Anniversary Celebration

The 60th anniversary of the Lincoln High Class of 1957 was celebrated by 45 members accompanied by their spouses, friends and guests at two informal gatherings last month. Balloons decorated tables at Nico’s Cafe on Wampum Ave., where appetizers were enjoyed and friendships were renewed the first night. The next evening, 70 people gathered at the Saxon Club for a buffet-style dinner, catered by Nico’s, followed by an entertaining program emceed by James Meehan, class president from Ellwood City. Fombell History Day

Fombell History Day is this Sunday, September 17th 1pm-5pm and held at Lillyville Church of God located at 408 Hickernell Rd, Ellwood City, Pennsylvania 16117. The annual event brings people together to celebrate and share their history. Many find a relative in a photo or reminisce with a neighbor about their communities.
