CCBC Nursing Educator Named PA Practical Nursing Administrators’ “Educator of the Year”

New Utility Bill Format, April Due Date Extended

According to information made available on Tuesday, the Borough of Ellwood City has extended the due date for the utility bills to May 26, 2017. Those customers who use auto bank draft will have their payments deducted on May 22, 2017. If customers, who have auto bank draft, and already paid their bill, their payment will be credited toward their next month’s utility bill. Paint The Town Purple Survivor Luncheon Sunday, June 4, 2017 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. Bernstine, Court Agree to Send Information to District Attorney Office

ELLWOOD CITY – In response to parking tickets that were issued at a legislative press conference on Thursday, May 11, state Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-New Beaver) and Ellwood City Mayor Anthony Court have jointly agreed to send documentation of the event to the Lawrence County District Attorney office, Bernstine announced today. Bernstine held a press conference in front of a private residence on Wampum Avenue to announce his legislation to better regulate municipal electric costs. Fine Arts Festival

On Tuesday, May 16, the public is invited to attend the inaugural spring Fine Arts Festival at Lincoln Junior-Senior High School. The show, which is free to the public, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.  Student work will be on display through the first floor and library, and refreshments will be served in the cafeteria. Students Win With Business Ideas

Grove City, PA, May 8, 2017:  On May 4th, five teams of students from local Butler county high schools competed with their business ideas in the 2nd Annual Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV (MIU IV) Final Business Pitch Contest. The contest involved MIU IV’s Entrepreneurship Academy students presenting their ideas in a five-minute presentation in front of potential investors and judges. Ellwood City Area Public Library Activities for Week of May 15, 2017

Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following: Monday, May 15, through Saturday, May 20, — A “Butterfly Activity” will be offered to all preschoolers and early elementary-aged children who come into the library during the week. Former Panther Standout Named GLIAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year

Tiffin University right-hander Michael Boswell finished his rookie campaign with five wins in 11 appearances, helping the Dragons post their best winning percentage in program history. For his efforts, Boswell was named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Freshman Pitcher of the Year, the first time a Tiffin player has ever taken the award. Boswell finished second on the team in innings and wins, and averaged 8.02 strikeouts per nine innings. Today, State Representative Aaron Bernstine formally endorsed incumbent mayoral candidates Anthony Court of Ellwood City and George Quay of Beaver Falls.  Both Court and Quay will be on the Democratic ballot in the primary election to be held on May 16th.  Both mayors are also seeking write-in votes to secure positions on the Republican ticket for the general election in November.
