Wayne Township residents are invited to participate in the annual clean-up day, which will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until Noon at the Wayne Township Municipal Building, located at 1418 Wampum Road, Ellwood City, PA 16117. This event is for Wayne Township residents only. Proof of residency is required. The Ellwood City Community Health Foundation (ECCHF) will issue scholarships each year to individuals who enroll in higher education to pursue a career in the medical field. The individual needs to be a resident of either Ellwood City, Lawrence County, or Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Covert Fires 83, BC3 Golfers Win Spring Season Opener

Lincoln High School graduate Mitchell Covert fired a round of 83, finishing fourth, to help lead Butler County Community College victory over Jamestown (N.Y.) Community College at Lake Arthur Golf Club in BC3’s spring-season opener last Thursday. Mayor Court Receives Prestigious “Community Service Award”

Ellwood City Mayor Anthony J. Court was the recipient of the prestigious “Community Service Award” by Vision Ministries at the 8th Annual Braveheart Testimonial Banquet held recently at the New Englander in New Castle. US 422 Drilling Starts Wednesday in Lawrence County

Pittsburgh – PennDOT District 11 is announcing drilling operations US 422 (New Butler Road) in Shenango and Slippery Rock townships, Lawrence County will begin Wednesday, April 2 weather permitting. Coval Appointed As BC3’s Ninth President

Megan M. Coval was introduced as the ninth president of Butler County Community College on Thursday. BC3 trustees during their regular meeting today unanimously approved the appointment of Coval, who has led western Pennsylvania’s oldest community college as interim president since May. Coval to begin acting as interim president as of May 2024 to succeed Ellwood City native Dr. Nick Neupauer, who had announced his retirement after 17 years as president in January. Beaver County Conservation District Hosting Tire Collection Event In May

The Beaver County Conservation District’s Mosquito Vector Disease Program is hosting a tire collection at the district office and environmental center May 3, 2025. The tire collection is offered with funding assistance through our PA Department of Environmental Protection West Nile Virus grant.
