Christine Marie (Vith) Kalac, 63, formally of McKees Rocks, PA passed away peacefully on May 21st 2020 at home in Darlington, PA. Born May 27th 1956, in McKees Rocks, PA. She joined the US Navy in 1979 and served as one of the first female crew members aboard a US Navy ship the USS Point Loma (AGDS-2). After leaving the navy to start a family she moved to Washington state and opened a very successful pet store. Cynthia Aquino Nordi, of Franklin Park, Pa passed away on May 16, 2020 of complications from pancreatic cancer. She was born in Pittsburgh to Alfred D. and E. Joan (Snyder) Aquino on August 13, 1952. She grew up in Beaver Falls and attended Beaver Falls High School where she was a majorette. She performed with the band at a televised New York Jets game featuring quarterback Joe Namath, a Beaver Falls High School alumni, in 1969. Betty J. Ippolito, 95, of Wampum passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Quality Life Services in New Castle. Born June 24, 1924 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Garnet (Lewis) Powell . She was married to Jacob A. Ippolito for 71 years when he died June 2, 2014. Betty was a member of the former St. Monica Church in Wampum and currently a member at Holy Redeemer Parish in Ellwood City. She was active with Wampum’s Altar and Rosary Society. Born May 26, 1931 in Emerickville, PA, he was the son of the late Frank T. and Mary (Shields) Martz . He was married to Patti J. Milliren for 61 years until her passing in 2015. Born January 2, 1947 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of Ethel Wallis Snare and the late Russell Snare. She was married to Harry “Curt” Atkins Jr. for 54 1/2 years, he survives. Mary C. “Little Miss Mary” McKerahan, 73, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at her residence. Mary was born on March 10, 1947 in Pittsburgh. She was a nurse at the Passavant Lutheran Home for 21 years until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Church where she was a dedicated volunteer at the Holy Redeemer Food Bank.
