Born September 21, 1937 in Butler, he was the son of the late Edwin P. and Mary A. (Deal) Armstrong. He was married to Toyoko Nishida Armstrong for 54 years when she passed away November 9, 2011. Nathan C. Fatula, 28, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly at his residence Friday, May 17, 2019. Born March 6, 1991 in Anchorage, Alaska, he was the son of Charles M. Fatula of Ellwood City, and Kerry (Ron) Halter of Kodiak, Alaska. Nate was an avid and accomplished guitarist and bass player who enjoyed writing music. He was known for his kindness and generosity. Frances M. Evans, 76, of North Sewickley Twp., Ellwood City passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at Vibra Hospital in Boardman, Ohio following a brief illness. Born February 25, 1943 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Wetzel and Gladys (Stoups) Murphy. Frances graduated from Lincoln High School and was a Notary Public from 1989 -2017. Born January 15, 1948 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia Claire (Wolfe) Haswell. Jerry formerly worked as a Sales Associate at Wal-Mart in Chippewa. Helen Marie (Barberio) Lippert, 73, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital. Born November 22, 1945 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late George T. and Abigail Margaret (Hughes) Barberio. For over 20 years, Helen owned and operated the Doll House Beauty Salon then managed the kitchen at McDowell’s Hotel in Koppel. Dr. Robert E. Gregg, 95, of Pershing St., Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Born October 12, 1923, in Rockdale, PA, he was the son of the late Walter P. and Anna Luntz Gregg. He graduated from Lincoln High School and the PA College of Optometry.
