Janet L. Carpenter, 70, of New Castle, PA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. She was born August 5, 1949 in Morgantown, WV to the late Delbert and Bonnie (Rea) Carpenter. Janet was a member of various churches throughout her lifetime. She was always involved with the church and always made contributions to her church community. She enjoyed listening to prayer lines and reading her Bible. Born July 17, 1945 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Eleanor Koach Boots. He was married to the love of his life, Susan Hammerle Boots for 50 years, she survives. Alice Mae Ecenrode, 93, formerly of Wampum passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Avalon Place in New Castle. Born November 4, 1926 in Keeley, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Grace Lutz Hairhoger. Alice Mae was a graduate of Wampum High School. She worked as a clerk at the former Leonetti’s in Wampum and Lawson’s Grocery Store in Ellwood City. She was an active member and Deacon of the Wampum Presbyterian Church. Mary was born in Beaver County on May 14, 1938 to Elmer and Mary Ault and graduated from Wampum High School in May of 1956. She continued her education at Jameson School of Nursing where she earned an RN degree. She also earned her Bachelors Degree from Stevens College in Columbia MO. Born February 20, 1953 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Dale R. and Helen L. (Baucom) Zeigler. Larry retired from Reactive Metals in West Pittsburg.
