Smiley, Wolverines Rout Freedom 43-3; Panthers Down New Brighton

Quarterback Chris Smiley accounted for four touchdowns as Ellwood City defeated Freedom 43-3 on the road Friday night in MAC Section play. The victory moved the Wolverines to 4-0 on the season, their first 4-0 start since 1997. After allowing the games first points early in the opening quarter, the Wolverines scored seven unanswered times to race away from the Bulldogs. 2024 Ellwood City Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2024 Lincoln High School Homecoming Court! The Homecoming King will be crowned at school during a Pep Rally and the Queen will be crowned at halftime of the Friday night football game vs. New Brighton. Lincoln High School will celebrate their 68th Homecoming on Friday, September 27th, at Helling Stadium against the New Brighton Lions. 2024 Riverside Homecoming Court Announced

Congratulations to the 2024 Riverside Homecoming Court! Borough Notifies Residents Of No Late Fees, Shut-Offs On Recent Electric Billing

In a statement made available on the borough website and social media this week, the Borough of Ellwood City is notifying its residents there will be no shut offs this month and all late fees will be waived due to system issues. The Borough is aware that delinquent notices have been mailed with a shut off date included. Per the Borough Manager, Kevin Swogger, there will be no shut offs in the month of September and all late fees will be waived for the month of September due to system issues with the new operating system for Ellwood Electric. Three Local Golfers Qualify For WPIAL Class 2A Individual Championships

Three local golfers qualified for the WPIAL Golf Individual championships with their performances Monday at Tanglewood Golf Course. Juniors Nate Kennedy and Jordan Keller from Ellwood City both made the cut while Hunter Garvin from Riverside also earned a spot in the WPIAL Class 2A Individual Championship set to be held on Monday at Youghiogheny Country Club in McKeesport. Mayor Anthony J.
