Beaver Thrashes Wolverines in Last Season Game

The Ellwood City Wolverines lost their opportunity to close the regular season with a winning record. The Beaver Bobcats thrashed the Wolverines 48-17 in Friday’s away game. Senior Nick Ioanilli had two runs in the second and third quarters and senior Justin Baney kicked a 23 yard field goal in the first quarter. The Wolverines were unable to score sufficiently to outweigh the Bobcat’s offense. Beaver’s Darius Wise ran for four touchdowns totaling over 200 yards, including a 93 yard run in the second quarter. Police: Man Assaults Ex-Girlfriend; DUI Leads to Rear-Ending

DUI Leads to Rear-Ending Two Vehicles According to a criminal complaint, on Oct. 16 around 5 p.m., Amber Servick, 33, of New Castle, rear ended two vehicles stopped at red lights at intersections on Sixth and Fifth Streets. Both struck vehicles suffered minor damage. Investigating officers determined that Servick was intoxicated. She was charged with two count of driving under the influence and one count of causing damage to a vehicle. Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 held their Columbus Day Dinner on Tuesday, October 13, 5 p.m. at the Wolverine Restaurant.
