Riverside Boys & Girls Varsity Soccer Teams Onto Playoffs

Riverside Panthers boys and girls soccer teams have both advanced to the WPIAL Playoffs that begin this weekend. The Riverside girls team are first to play on Saturday, October 20th in an opening round contest against defending WPIAL Champion Greensburg Central Catholic.  The game will take place at 1:00pm at Hampton School District.  The winner will advance to a second round match-up versus the OLSH/Beth Center winner. Riverside & Ellwood Boys Golf Teams Share Section Co-Championship

The Riverside and Ellwood boys golf teams both had extremely successful seasons. Their records led to the two, normal rivals, to be crowned section co-champs. For the Wolverines, the team was led by senior co-captains Broc Boariu and Alex Scott. Ellwood City Halloween Parade October 27

The annual Ellwood City Halloween Parade will march down Lawrence Avenue Saturday, October 27, beginning at 3:30 p.m. The parade will start at the intersection of 4th Street and Lawrence Avenue and end at the intersection of 8th Street and Lawrence Avenue. Staging will take place in the Holy Redeemer School parking lot. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 2:45 and enter the lot at Crescent Avenue and 3rd Street. Parents may drop off their children on Crescent Avenue between 3rd Street and 4th Street. Riverside Graduate Creates His Own Horror Effects

Omega FX is a small business created by John Guerrini. Guerrini is a Riverside grad who attended Seton Hill University to get his degree after high school. Local Women Suffers Identity Theft On Monday October 15 at 12:00 p.m., a local women reported that she was sent a $304.60 phone bill from Verizon Wireless for two cell phone lines she had not opened. Attorney General’s Office to Speak at Riverside on Social Media

On Wednesday, October 17th, as part of a Riverside School District Parent Outreach Night, the Attorney General’s Office will speak as part of a free seminar regarding parents, children, and social media.
